... to Central NZ's Premier Multisport Event

Established in 1991, the Crazyman is one of NZ's longest running multisport events. Based around the icon outdoor elements of Wellington's Hutt City this 56k scenic tour showcases the hills, beaches, harbour and river that make our Capital the outdoor wonderland that it is.

Held annually in early December, the Crazyman attracts around 400 entrants. Participants enter as individuals or teams in either the full multisport format (13k Kayak, 28k Mountain Bike, 13k Trail Run) or as duathletes (mountain bike/run).

Past winners have included Coast to Coast legends Steve Gurney, Jill Westenra, Kristina Anglem, Gordon Walker, Emily Miazga, Dougal Allen, Jess Simson and legendary husband and wife duo Richard and Elina Ussher.

But first and foremost "The Crazyman" is a community event embracing all ages, abilities and backgrounds. In short, you'd be "crazy not to" contemplate the Crazyman... It's a "Hell of an event"!
